Wedding: Adam & Rebecca at The Ballyowen Golf Club

April 5, 2019

Ballyowen Golf Club Wedding today!

I haven’t really had the opportunity to update my blog but I am getting back into the thick of things. I will be posting more and more as the time comes. I have been literally that busy since last year but I guess that is a good thing.

I’m showcasing a wedding that I did with Adam and Rebecca at the Ballyowen Golf Club. I already knew that photographing these two was going to be easy because we did an engagement shoot together at the restaurant called haven where Adam proposed to Rebecca, so photographing them is extremely easy because of the chemistry that they both have naturally.

Very beautiful place to have an outdoor ceremony but started off the day at the Grand Cascades Lodge with both Bride and Groom. I’ve actually photographed a wedding here years ago when I used to do freelance work. But the grounds of this place is actually very very beautiful and I would’ve been OK photographing an entire wedding at this venue.

As usual I started out with Adam and the boys in his room And the room was pretty full to begin with so as a wedding photographer you have to actually pick your corners and put your angles to try to get the best possible photos. Once Adam was fully dressed we went outside to take a few photographs of the guys where the back portion of the Grand Cascades Lodge has a beautiful area that feels like you are on top of the mountain where I can showcase the beautiful clouds and just had the guys stand there and just be in their casual mode. From their upon entering Rebecca’s room it felt like she had a million bridesmaids in her room. I’m kidding but you guys get the point, she basically had a pretty big wedding party.

The entire wedding they went perfectly well because they actually listen to my advice and for the most part I was able to photograph the girls in their robes and her suite was actually perfect to shoot as well as it had a balcony where we had a pretty cool shoot Where we did Video that we actually did for them.

I have to say that I have a really really strong video team and they did an excellent job with the wedding. You will be able to see a sneak preview of their wedding down below.

Once the ceremony started the actual landscape of the whole entire wedding ceremony was surreal. You could actually feel like you were almost in the clouds. Photographing at a golf resort is pretty difficult to begin with because you basically have no shade area but harsh sun. I’m used to shooting in harsh sun but sometimes a little shade actually gives your subject a little bit more shadows and mood but nonetheless we made it happen. At the actual staircase to go inside the venue I saw a little bit of weeds and utilize that as a filter and had beautiful light highlight both Adam and Rebecca’s hair from behind. I gave it a little bit of warming and camera to give it a beautiful moody effect. The actual party of the whole entire day was a success. Take a view of their photos from their day.
