Sean & Ann in New York City

September 26, 2016

Definitely a different wedding I’m accustomed to I can say. To me, all weddings are fun. Yes some can add a bit more stress than others only because of time constraints of a typical wedding. I guess that’s why I love weddings. The challenges of trying to create the best possible art you can under any lighting condition, weather or time constraint folks can have on a wedding day.

But today we have Sean & Ann straight from Ireland. Yes Ireland. They booked me from overseas and mentioned to me they were interested in my services. They wanted to get married but do something different so they wanted to take a weekend trip to NYC and get married. The only family they have here was on Sean’s side. Where he has an aunt & uncle who reside in NYC, and were the only ones to attend the wedding. Yes, no bridesmaids or groomsmen.

This particular wedding was fun I had to admit. As there were no time constraints to deal with whatsoever. Ann just wanted Church coverage and wanted to go everywhere we can possibly go in NYC before sundown. This is hard in New York given that cabs can get expensive, traffic or anything that can happen. So we went to a few parks, Grand Central Station, the Post office, 7th avenue and down to Brooklyn where she wanted the Manhattan skyline for one photo as the sun set…….

Well, it was different…..but I must admit it was amazing working with Sean & Anna. From the moment I met Ann at the front steps of the Church is when I began to shoot as I started with this beautiful photo of her with her long veil and just opened the door and used the light to come in and took so many quality portraits of these two……

Here is a few from their day….. well, not a few. Here are several…. 🙂
