Today’s wedding was definitely a first for me as Ed & Tara held their wedding at The Landmark Loew’s Jersey Theatre. Tara decided to hire me after doing an extensive search for photographers and she happened to meet me at an expo where luckily enough? She liked my work.
Can’t say nothing but nice things about Ed & Tara. Tara who is down to earth and an easy go with the flow type of person and especially Ed who is a class act and extremely charismatic & funny guy, and now know why Tara married the guy.
We first started out at The Westin Jersey City Newport document the getting ready portion of their day. Then headed to Empty Sky Memorial to shoot their first look and do a small session on the grounds before heading to the Loews Jersey Theatre for the ceremony.
The place is extremely old and definitely has a feel from the 40’s and has this cathedral look all over the place. The ceremony took place on the actual stage of the Theatre and the Intros, First dance, toast and reception all held in the lobby area where the folks back in the day would order their popcorn before showtime…. Ed serenaded Tara before their first dance which had everyone in tears. Cake cutting & the bouquet toss was all done from the 2nd level of the theatre. Yeah, very different.. I had fun at this wedding for sure…
